Plantar Wart Treatment — Victoria Park
Plantar warts (also called verrucae) can be stubborn, painful and frustrating — especially if they’re on a weight-bearing area or keep spreading to family members. The good news: once we confirm it’s truly a wart (not a corn or callus), we can tailor treatment to your skin type, pain level and timeline.
How to tell if it’s a wart
- Pinpoint black dots (tiny blood vessels) may be visible
- Pain is often worse with side-to-side squeezing
- Skin lines are interrupted over the lesion
- Often occurs after pool/gym exposure, especially with small skin breaks
Treatment approach
There isn’t a single best option for every wart. We choose based on size, duration, location, age, and your tolerance for downtime.
- Debridement — careful reduction to relieve pressure and improve treatment response.
- Targeted topical plans — evidence-based guidance on what to use and how to use it safely.
- Offloading — padding to reduce pain while walking.
- Prevention — reducing spread at home, in shoes and shared surfaces.
How many visits will I need?
Warts vary widely. Some respond quickly; others need a staged approach over weeks to months. We’ll give you a clear plan and checkpoints so you know what “good progress” looks like.
